Greetings and bright blessings to all who read this.
As you all know, the loss of Lady Loreon Vigne, Archpriestess in the Temple of Isis and Fellowship of Isis, proprietress and founder of Isis Oasis, has been felt wide and long throughout our communities. There is so much to say on this subject; I will keep it brief in favor of a much longer and more cathartic post at a later date.
It is not just her passing that has caused me to be so silent, but the aftermath of her passing, and the continuance of her legacy. I have been working closely with Leslie Kirk-Campbell, her niece, and deTraci Regula, the new head of the Temple of Isis in filling in the gaps where needed with Temple and Isis Oasis business, as well as managing things when both are away, or one needs the support. Much of my time has been at Isis Oasis, seeing to her temples and memorials. We held a Sunday Scrolls service the week of her passing, which she had already written and planned to present. Many locals came out to pay tribute and say a few words about our beloved Loreon.
Next, I had the task of bringing the Inner Sanctum Symposium on Infinite Possibilities to life without my co-hostess by my side. It was no small feat, but the turn out was wonderful. So many gifted and wonderfully talented teachers and seekers of knowledge were there. It truly was special, and I know Loreon was smiling down upon us. The second memorial also happened there, which was a High Holy Isian Ritual, honoring her work with the Egyptian Pantheon, as well as her life here on earth, and her afterlife. People were very moved, and very happy with it.
The third and final memorial will complete the circle at Convocation, the yearly gathering of our Priests and Priestesses, where ordinations occur. The staff have been working diligently on readying the Gallery, which will showcase photographs, timelines, and artwork by Lady Loreon. It is a public event to be held on Sunday, October 12, so anyone may attend. I have been helping with the planning of Convocation, though I will be unable to attend as my sister is getting married in Texas that same weekend, and I must be there for her. I will be there in spirit, of course. :-)
Lastly, as you know, this is my busiest season for Tarot and Medium Readings, second only to Valentines Day fever. I am setting aside a few dates where I will be doing non-stop readings by the hour, either by phone, in person, or via Skype. I will be in the MD/VA/DC area for Halloween, and can be available to do readings on location there or via phone, through November 5. I will be at World Fantasy Con November 6-9, and can also do readings for you there. As always, house calls for tarot and/or spirit assessments and blessings can also be booked on the dates mentioned (with flexibility on timing), with rates beginning at $100. If you have a group or party of people wishing to get together all on one day and in one place, discounts apply, or a flat rate for the day/evening.
