I am thankful to Arisa, aka Granny Rainbow, for forwarding me the link to this blog post on the Grand Sextile by Randy Bruner on June 21. While it may be difficult to understand for the lay person, or someone who may be spiritually or magically inclined, but not well-versed in astrology, it has specific points about dates and affirmations we can all take into our own introspection and create something wonderful out of our personal "manifest destiny" mantras.
Before explaining how you can work with these planetary energies at home, I want to you to note the general concept of Self versus Higher Self, or Third Eye thinking (something Arisa also reminded me of in her email). With astrology, one only has to understand it's very much like the spirit world, because we can neither see all of it at one time from our naked eyes on earth, nor understand it without a deep study of the unknown and science behind its existence.
With astrology, we have proven facts that the universe exists, when just short while ago, a lot of people still thought the earth was flat, and planets that we could not see from earth with primitive devices did not exist. So it is similar with the spiritual world; an exodus all itself. People either believe or they don't, that spirit exists and manifests around us, despite the aids and tools of science in the field of paranormal research, making spirits known the world over, more than ever today. Those who could not hear, see, or smell them can now do so with the aid of science.
Like astrology...with spirit, you must pay attention to the messages given, and use the tools you have within your self and higher self to receive and understand them as best you can. Sometimes the best message from the Spiritual Universe, is the one right in front of you, that you refuse to see.
In my earlier post regarding the perigee moon, I spoke of things happening outside yourself that you may not know of, which will manifest very positively during fall harvest season, if you just keep working at what you are doing, and do not give up. The astrological report Randy gives in his article also explains just that--it is happening right now, all around you, up in the cosmos, on a different level than you exist, though you may not know it. It is also happening with spirit. As with astrology, all we need to do is look up to seek the knowledge; with spirit...we must look within, if we do not have the gifts of sixth sense.
Even with all my gifts, the spirit world reminds me, when I am too upset or unable to push past issues to notice, that it's energy is there to help. We have felt for so long in 2013 that there is no help, or no one is giving us the support we need to move forward past obstacles--whether it be with health, work, finances, or spiritual guidance. People often tell me they feel stuck. That what they are doing doesn't seem to matter.
For example: A few weeks ago, I was given some extremely difficult news(devastating for some, but I chose not to look at it this way, and focused on the positive outcome later). In an emotional argument I was having with a close friend, I felt not only the lack of support weighing heavily on my shoulders from those who I would ordinarily and naturally turn to for support, but very separated and alone in my issues. It's not often that I seek support or help. The thought had broadsided me that yet again, I would face another set of problem circumstances, like so many others do on a daily basis, all by myself--tapping into my personal strength that has always seemed limitless, yet knowing we all have limits. I was reaching mine at that moment. I did not want to work through the problem alone. I wanted support. It was not to be found, and I was feeling devastated, not by the issue at hand, but by the lack of help I hoped would be there to get me through it.
At that moment of frustration and pain, as I was speaking the words, "I have no support, and I need it," to my friend, I saw beyond that person who could not give it, into the room beyond and behind them, to a wall in my home that is adorned with three giant stars. Beneath the stars, was a small rectangular rainbow, coming from nowhere, as the blinds were closed and there wasn't anything to refract or reflect the light to prism in the room or beyond that room.
I remembered something my grandmother had said before she passed on to my aunt, to let her know how she would manifest for her after her death. "Look for me in rainbows," she said. And my aunt sees her in rainbows that should not be, all the time, now that she is gone. The rainbows visited me, too, quite a bit, before my aunt came to visit in the days leading up to her arrival. I knew she would be with us on her trip.
At that moment, looking at the little rainbow on the wall, I knew my grandmother was with me, letting me know she would be there for me and support me through my pain and process. I would have what I needed. Spirit was stepping in to remind me that I am never alone... and neither are you.
In remembering the magic of otherworldly support, you must also remember the magic of astrological support, that comes from the other world above us, by way of Earth's unique place in space and time. As you re-read This is the Big One We've All Been Waiting For - The Grand Sextile, take your time with it, and try to understand it as it pertains to your personal situations, especially challenges that don't seem to resolve themselves right now, moving through summer and into fall.
Take charge of the elements of each planet as it finds its place in the hexagon, meditate on and receive the gifts of their specific energies into the light of your Higher Self, transforming it into your physical self--grounding you, balancing you, and healing you. When we are one with our universal truths, we clear obstacles, blockages, negative energies, and hitchhiking cling-ons of negative energies that have plagued us for years. We improve all over, and by improving ourselves, we can then help others on their own quests to improve, as well as the Earth itself.
Connect your energy to the energy of the stars and planets, and manifest your destiny. As a special note to those continuing their work with Wadjet, pay close attention to the paragraph in the Randy's article that begins, "The second day of the New Year, Magnetic Moon 2, Red Solar Serpent..." and during this time, connect to and reaffirm your Seven Circles Around the Sun.
Now is an excellent time to look at your own astrological chart, and see how it corresponds with the energies and planets at play in this Grand Sextile. If you can identify strengths during key dates and planetary events, focus your work on those planetary energies in your chart that align the most, when planning your meditations, rituals, ceremonies, or other practical applications. Your personal astrological chart is very much like a finger print. No two are alike--not even for twins (one baby must come out before another)--and their uniqueness can give us as many gifts as well as challenges in our lifetimes.
In figuring out what may be the most auspicious event(s) about the Grand Sextile pertaining to your personal chart, advanced practitioners can make the most out of the alignments. Novices can benefit most by meditation on connection with the energies and gifts each planet represents, affirmations, and simply "plugging in" to the universe. Intermediate students may wish to do specific Chakra work in their focusing.
Others who are utterly lost on the concept, and are just reading this for amusement, may take comfort in the knowledge that soon, Mercury goes direct, and retrograde ends. Another helpful tool for working with moon energy, is Moon Spells by Diane Ahlquist. I like the kindle version best, as it is mobile for quick reference. As always, use this diatribe as a guide. Do what works best for you, and what feels right.
